This week’s featured candidate is Linda Frey, who is running for House District 94.  This legislative district comprises parts of South Hills, Lewis & Clark school, Playfair Park neighborhood and north to Hellgate High School. (Your House district can be found on your voter registration card.)

Linda is a professor of European and military history at the University of Montana, and gained attention when she came to the forefront as an opponent of the proposed Hillview Way SID tax increase 2007.  

“My experience in fighting the Special Improvement District on Hillview Way, which would have imposed an unreasonable tax increase on my neighbors and forced many to sell their homes, drew me into the race. Lessons learned from that experience apply not only to Hillview Way but also to other areas in the city, and to the state government.”
